'Konchem Ishtam, Konchem Kashtam', starring Siddhartha nd Tammanna, is a youthful romantic mainstream musical film with good cinematography and presentation.
Synopsis
Sidhardh Varma (Sidhardh) is a happy-go-lucky character whiling away his time with girl friends. His father (Prakash Raj) and mother (Ramya Krishna) are separated for the past eighteen years. Sidhardh stays with his mother.
Geeta (Tamanna) comes to the city to pursue studies. Her father Subramanyam (Nasser) is a landlord in a village. She stays in the city with her uncle (Brahmanandam).
Sidhardh and Geetha fall in love. Sidhardh goes to Geetha’s native place along with her and seeks the blessings of her father for their marriage. Subramanyam says if Sidhardh can unite his estranged parents, he may consider his marriage with Geetha.
The rest of the story deals with whether Sidhardh succeeds in uniting his parents and how he accomplishes the task.
Performances:
Sidhardh has given a very bright and energetic performance as a youthful lover. Tamanna is cute and her on screen chemistry with Sidhardh is quite convincing. Prakash Raj, Ramya Krishna and Nasser have given mature performances. Brahmanandam disappoints, but Venumadhav impresses.
The Techniques
The story is good but suffers from predictability. The screenplay could have been more gripping. The USP of the film is its superb cinematography, music and picturisation of songs plus the on screen chemistry between Sidhardh and Tamanna. The dialogues and lyrics are good.
The Verdict
Koncham Ishtam Koncham Kashtam is a well-presented film with stunning camera work and good music. Sidhardh’s performance is worth watching.
