About Mr Medhavi…

Mr Medhavi was brought with a good commercial concept and at the same time will have a different feel. The basic concept is — How a cunning fellow won the love of a girl? The storyline is very good. Though he is not very intelligent, the hero makes others believe that he is too knowledgeable. We are sure that it is going to be really a very good movie.

About your character in the flick…

I am playing a character with a negative shade in this flick. It is really a cunning character which attempts to reach the expected target by impressing people around him. The hero traps a girl and make her to love him in a different way. At the same time, he makes people around him to call him that he is a very intelligent fellow at the end. I strongly feel that the character would earn me a very good name as an artiste.

About your co-star Genelia and her role?

Genelia… She is very cooperative and I strongly feel that she is a brilliant artiste. She proved herself as a good performer with her acting talents are marvelous in her latest movie ‘Bommarillu’. I am very happy to work with her. She is playing the role of a matured lady from the US and she would also earn a good name with this movie.

Music success is half done, say film pundits. How was the music in Mr Medhavi?

It is really true. Music does magic in many movies. Especially for a good film, there should be a good music too. At the same time, a good music should come from a best music director. For us, Chakri gave mellifluous tunes to all the songs. We can simply say that it is really a great music. Already the audio is into the public and is getting a very good response.

It seems you took the rights of overseas distribution. Are you so confident about the success of Mr Medhavi?

Of course yes. I chose to distribute the film overseas for the first time in my career. I am very confident about the success and took this step. If it clicks, I could freely think of floating my own banner to bring out purposeful and meaningful movies. I am releasing the film with four prints, while two more prints to be added at a later date. I have good friends in the US and Europe. I hope the contacts would further enrich my knowledge of overseas business.

How do you feel working with Genelia, especially in the wake of two hits like ‘Bommarillu and Dhee’ to her credit?

I really enjoyed working with such a talented artiste. Let me remind you that she was considered an unlucky girl, before Bommarillu and Dhee. But now she is turned a golden goose! This is what I call hypocrisy. When you are in success, everyone shower praises. When you are down, the people around you would further let you down. I can say I just feel very professional while working with her. Definitely, not excited!

He is a down-to-earth technician. One thing I can clearly say, “He is one of the most underrated persons in the industry, though he had a sea of talent, innovation and creativity.” I am sure Mr Medhavi will make him a trendsetter. Working with him is a fabulous experience.

It seems you are banking on Srihari to get back the lost slot, with Bhadradri?

I don’t agree with you that I have lost my slot. I believe in my profession and I know my strengths and weaknesses. I always try to improve myself with the skills available with me. Working with Srihari is a great experience. This film will take me to the masses, especially from B, C centres. I frankly admit that I don't have any base in rural centers. I am also doing a film ‘Idee Sangathi’ under Chandra Siddarth direction. I hope this will once again take me close to the family audiences. Life goes on. Profession like acting is not too static.

Presently, I am doing a film with Raviraja Pinisetty. It is a straight film. I liked the subject. You will be informed of details soon.

These days you are actively involved in social service activities. Tell us about this sector.

I can't say anything about this. I believe in helping others and it will help me to get supreme satisfaction in life. I am doing something for the cancer patients. If God permits, I will expand my social service activities to some more who were in need.
